We have the opportunity to build shelters,
create art textiles and make vehicles and toys in
Design Technology.
We are also learning about our
environment and country as well as speaking French.
Although Year 5 is challenging,
it is really enjoyable. Everyone is encouraged and
motivated to learn and we are given activities to
develop our independent skills and think for ourselves.
This is more evident during science experiments and
investigations.
In Year 5 we do have homework
but this is linked to our own personal research so
that we can share information with our class.
We have incentives to celebrate
our achievements using ‘Stakesby Stars’,
‘House Points’ and certificates. Each
week we are given Golden Time to develop social skills.
