Hear about Emma’s Mum and Dad who came to Stakesby and discussed how we can keep safe and how the RNLI can save a lot of people’s lives. Also, read on and hear about our amazing cake stall.. Finally, we raised the sum of £175.00 for the RNLI, including the money from wearing non-uniform for the day.

RNLI Day Assembly
On 29th of January 2009 we had a very interesting assembly presented by Emma Webster's Mum and Dad. We watched a DVD about the RNLI, (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) about what they do and how they do it. Each year, the RNLI save over 1 million lives, that’s 21 each day.
Stakesby School had a fabulous cake stall hosted Caitlin Slevin and Grace Marsay with a little help from Miss Robinson. The cakes were priced at 20p each and this contributed to the £175.00 which we raised. Everyone enjoyed their cake which included flapjacks, cookies and fairy buns. Well done Stakesby!
