Morrison’s Vouchers!

Recently the school have been asking families whether they could bring their Morrison’s Vouchers into school so we can purchase new gardening equipment so we can make our gardens even better! Our new equipment has now arrived including: spades, trowels, a sweeping brush, a weather station and a foldaway wheelbarrow!

Spring Has Arrived!

This week we have experienced lots of frog activity. If you have been to see the wildlife pond lately you will have noticed that frogs have been spawning, plus daffodils have started to appear around the school, which all the children have kindly planted with Mrs Holliday in their lunch hour.

Salvation Army clothes and shoes bin!

Don’t forget to bring in unwanted clothes and shoes to go in our big red Salvation Army bin .All the clothes will go towards people who need them and in charity shops; also for every tonne of clothes the school will be given £200 pounds and so far Stakesby has raised over £70!
Will Wind Work?

Recently we have registered with The Pod, which is a site all about saving energy. We are now working on ‘Will Wind Work’ program which is to do with seeing if wind can give us renewable energy. Every day children have been measuring the wind speed at school to see if would be a good idea to purchase a wind turbine in school.
