Stakesby
School has had a great Chinese New Year. To celebrate the
New Year we’ve had banquets and Chinese decorations
around the school. The children have all been joining in on
the fun especially the infants. In PE they formed the shape
of a dragon when doing dance exercise and it looked like great
fun! Read further on to hear about all of our special events.

On
the 26th of January we had a special Chinese Assembly. It
involved children acting out the traditional Chinese Animal
Story, to show what year the animals represent. Every child
who went to the tremendous display of animals thoroughly
enjoyed it.
Chinese
New Year School Lunch
On Wednesday 28th of January, we had a Chinese New Year
celebration lunch. The menu we had for our school lunch
was: sweet and sour chicken with rice, peas, sweet corn
and for dessert, chocolate cake with pears and chocolate
custard. It was delicious!
