We are looking forward to our trip this week. We hope it will be a memorable experience! Look on here every day for photos of our adventures and how we are getting on!

We have arrived!!!

We arrived just after 10am and set straight to work making beds (although this didn’t finish until around 7pm for some!!!) unpacking and collecting waterproofs. After we had listened to some of the centre rules, we collected lunch and set off on the minibuses to Runswick Bay where we had lunch at the top of the hill. Once lunch had finished we made our way down to the beach, where we had a fabulous time searching in the rock pools and on the shore, we found many crabs, limpets, periwinkles,  starfish and a butter fish to name but a few. Then we set off up the enormous, gigantic mountain to get back to the buses, on the intrepid trip to the summit we had to stop on a couple of occasions to look at the view over the bay and get our breath back!! On returning to the centre we continued with tidying and making ours beds and had a shower before a lovely tea of soup, beef, Yorkshire puddings, potato, carrots, cabbage and artic roll. We have just visited the tuck shop and are getting ready to begin orienteering and stopping off via the computer to complete our blog.

Tomorrow we are canoeing hopefully down the Esk to Whitby, so login tomorrow to have a look at the pictures and see how we got on.

We are all back form our river trip to Whitby safe and well  some of us got more wet than others but we all had a wonderful time.
