WAIT FOR ME!!!
We’ve arrived!! We got to Bewerley Park about 11.30 a.m We picked up Oakridge on the way. The journey was fun.
We had to carry our cases all the way down the drive. The dormitories are big but red hot. I’m in a bed next to Nathanael and Billy. We collected our waterproofs. LEON
Our dormitories are at the other side of the site. They are big with lots of space. Miss R and Mrs J are next door so they can keep an eye on us. The food is gorgeous and there is plenty of it and choice.
Our first activity was Jungle Gym It was fantastic - the best thing I have ever done. ASHLEY.
I loved the tarzan swing. The water was freezing, muddy and disgusting!! The tyre tube was scary!APRIL x
The low ropes were fantastic. We had to work as a team. If we fell off, we lost a life! CAITLIN
If you were in Mr J’s group (the best!!) - you got a mars bar. Billy got 3!! ASHLEY
The museum was really interesting. I liked the cave. We had to walk back to the centre across the field. It was dark, so it was a good job we had our torches. SPENCER
The models were scary and we had to do a quiz. I worked with Caitlin. NATHANAEL
Miss R’s group went to the Gorge. We had to walk up the river and climb up rocks. The challenge was to jump off a ledge into a 12 foot pool. Blake lost his wellies!! Even Miss R jumped in ! It was mint! We are the best group LEON.
Bed time! After the common room and tuck shop, we went to bed at 8.00 p.m. (ha! ha!) The boys were brill - the girls were awesome ( not really!! MR J
Up at 5.30 a.m We went for an early morning run.

Tuesday
We went for a treasure hunt with Mr J (BEST GROUP!!!) and got soaked - treasure was a curly wurly: JACK
Miss R’s group (THE ONE AND ONLY BEST GROUP!!!) went canoeing and got to go round and round in circles and jump in: HARRY BAKER - WE all managed this brilliantly
When we were doing the treasure hunt we were in the clouds: EMMA - we got to see the ‘False Tooth’ bridge. This had someone’s teeth on it!!! (Yuk)
We went on a treasure hunt and we had to walk up hill all the way. The prize was BRILL (Curly Wurly) - Food is great - watered and fed. I loved canoeing, it was fun when our boat capsized (Don’t worry mum). It was funny when Mr J fell out, Miss R wished she was there to see this!!!: LEONA
I went in a canoe with Rosie and Grace. We did get stuck in a bush BUT managed to sort ourselves out - in the race we came 2nd. We could’t row for laughing. SHARISE

We listened to the doors in the common room and went on a walk - Me and Miss R spoke about music - JAM and DOORS for 1 hour: I enjoyed canoeing but crashed into a bush - Leon jumped out and then back in - it was so funny: BLAKE
We all went on a night walk - all having a FAB time

Glad to hear you are all having fun. Wish I’d seen your canoe race, it sounds hilarious! I’m busy getting ready for our book fair, it opens tomorrow but don’t worry you will be able to come either on Friday or next Monday or Tuesday there are loads of brill books so make sure you come and have a look. I’m really missing my Y6 helpers, there will be loads to do next week! It’s really quiet here without you all, look forward to hearing all about your antics when you get back.

Wednesday update
We went to Scar Dam in the mini bus. We stopped off to have a look at some waterfalls . Dennis our Group Leader explained how they were made. The dam was massive! A big drop down! Tom Taylors Cavern was brill. BRYN
We did Jungle Gym and got soaked! I went on with Lyon…… no comment! Megan looked as if she had a beard - her face was so muddy! Stup Cross Caverns was really good. GRACE
Jungle Gym was great! Everyone had a go - even Miss R - she went through the tunnel! (Mr J wouldn’t fit!!) I swung across the pond with Megan and we fell in - it was freezing. Henry the Hoover is working overtime in the dorm - Miss R only gave us 6/10 - A FIX!! We were not very pleased - Mr J cried!!

I loved the canoeing. I was in a boat with Abbie and April. April was scared because we were rocking!! I was the first one to jump in (mum are you surprised!) Tom Taylors cavern was really scary - it was the anniversary of his hanging Aaaaaahhh! CHARLEY
Mum - Ive nearly run out of socks! ….. I was in a canoe with Leon and Blake. We didn’t get anywhere ! Are you surprised!! Men drivers!! I fell in the water at Jungle Gym. April wakes us all up very early in the morning - so does Miss R…… turning the lights on Huh! EBONEE
Dad - you did not pack enough shirts for me!! Mario (my teddy ) - his hat has nearly fallen off because Billy has fallen in love with him - he needs help!! The best bit so far is the dorm …. Jungle Gym was good - Isaac fell in - what a laugh!! Having a bonfire tonight - awesome!! Blake asks -Do you like The Jam - he’s asked everyone!! OTIS

Thursday evening
Been to Brimham Rocks today. Went on the mini bus. We did rock scrambling. At the end me and Jack did the cross over in the smartie tube. It was excellent. We had our packed lunch and then walked back to the Centre. It was miles!! BILLY
Having a great time! The smartie tube was ace ! I did it in 9 seconds. Have found out lots about rivers. Mr J thinks I’m now an expert!! The jorney back to Bewerley was about 200 miles (it seemed like it!) I’m now off to pack and then we are having a bonfire and a disco. Speed dating!! MR J says he is joining in too. He’s asking everyone!! Sad! Oh!……. I kept silent for 10 minutes (for a mars bar). I did it!! ABIGAIL
Having a bril time! The best activity has been Brimham Rocks. I did every challenge and hung on a ledge for 1 minute and 5 seconds. Canoeing was also fun, especially when Isaac tipped over the boat. At night we play games in the dorm - Detectives and At the shop……. They are really good fun. We eat lots of sweets (don’t tell Mr J). The food is really nice. I sit on atable with Sharise, Megan , Michael . Otis and Abigail. We have a laugh. AARON
Jungle Gym has been my favourite - especially the rope bridge. I got a mars bar for doing it. I liked the canoeing as well. The food is great! In the common room we buy sweets and play pool and table tennis and listen to The Doors and The Jam!! (of course) Loving Bewerley Park , but also missing Stakesby and my family. HARRY BUCK
Bewerley Park has been a great experience and I hope one day I can come again. I’ve loved the canoeing because I tipped the boat over ! I loved the face on Mr J when his boat capsized. He says he did it on purpose!! Oh yeah!! The dinners are really nice. There is plenty of choice. Chicken nuggets tonight. Can’t wait to come home for a lovely steak. Hope you read this mum!! Message from Miss R, Mrs J and Mr J
Had a great week - but now shattered! Could do with all next week off (at least!!) The children have been great and have met every challenge set for them. We are really proud of them - you should be too. We know they will have many stories to tell on their return. We are now off to the bonfire and disco. Mr J is for ever hopeful !! Later tonight we will start packing. If they manage to come back with anything of their own it will be a miracle. You should see the drying room!! Team games tomorrow morning - leaving at 1.00 p.m. back via Oakridge. Should be back at school by 3.30 p.m. NO STEEL BAND tomorrow night…………
Hi Guys, great blog, am very proud! You sound like you have had a fab time - it’s been very quiet at school without you all! It’s been great to see what you have all been up to, but we are all very concerned about the amount of chocolate that’s been floating around!
